A New Chapter at 70: The Best Decision I’ve Made for My Health

People are constantly commenting and I proudly tell them about tirzepatide and Emerge.

I had all the obesity related issues a person in their 70s could expect. Terrible hip and knee pain. Sometimes I had to use a cane to get to the bathroom. I snored like a freight train. Had chronic gastric reflux. Going up and down stairs? Fugedaboudit!
I lost some weight by eating a 1000 calorie diet and either power walking 3 miles a day which was rough on my joints, or pool jogging an hour non stop. I lost 20 ish pounds and stayed there. I couldn’t reasonably drop below 1000-1200 calories and I could only exercise so much.
I’d seen other people have success with GLP1s and my pcp had mentioned tirzepatide though he doubted my health history was severe enough to get coverage by Medicare. Reluctantly I decided to research my options for tirzepatide and read such great reviews for Emerge.
I’m an RN but this was uncharted territory for me so I wanted a little bit of hand holding. The support and quick replies to my questions eased all of my concerns and the rest is history.
I’ve lost 40 lbs (I’m 5’2” so that’s a lot ) and am 4 pounds from my goal.
I haven’t used a cane in months.
My hips and knees are infinitely better.
My partner reports that if I forget my Cpap I DO NOT SNORE!
My meds for reflux have been cut by 75% to just a daily OTC pill.
And I have had other fun non scale victories...
I walk out of lots of my shoes. Yup… I even lost weight from my FEET!
I went from a tight size 14 pants to a loose 8. I haven’t been in single digit size since…. A long time ago. Before Noah and his Ark.
