I hit an incredible milestone: I’m officially 60 pounds down!
Getting here hasn’t been without its challenges. I experienced a bit of a setback during my Halloween vacation, but it taught me valuable lessons about balance, perspective, and enjoying life.

Before my trip, I was so proud to hit my goal weight of 160 pounds. I worked hard to reach that milestone, knowing I’d indulge a little on vacation. I kept an eye on what I ate and drank but also enjoyed life, knowing that the sodium in foods and alcohol might lead to some temporary weight gain.
When I stepped on the scale after returning home, I was shocked to see I’d gained 10 pounds in just one week!
But instead of panicking, I reminded myself that it was likely water weight—and I was right. Within a week of being back home and sticking to my routine, those 10 pounds were gone.
Even though it felt frustrating to see one week of vacation set me back about three weeks in progress, I’ve learned to embrace the journey rather than obsess over every fluctuation. Was it worth the gain and the work to lose it again? Absolutely. Life is meant to be lived, and that’s exactly what I did.
During this trip, I felt a newfound confidence that I never had before. I did things I used to shy away from, like having my picture taken a billion times. I can’t tell you how good it felt to live fully in the moment.
Here’s where I stand now:
Highest Weight: 237 lbs
Starting Weight: 214 lbs
Current Weight: 152 lbs
Goal Weight: Still figuring it out! I’ve considered 130 pounds to be within a healthy BMI range, but honestly, I’m not sure where I’ll land.
For now, I’m focusing on staying consistent, celebrating progress, and living my best life—whether that’s on vacation or at home.
To anyone on a similar journey: give yourself grace, enjoy the ride, and remember that setbacks don’t define your success.
